The Gentle Modern School of Dog Training
We teach both dogs and handlers kindly and positively!
Our aim is to help you to have fun and success when training your dog using The Gentle Modern Method of Dog Training™
The Gentle Modern Method of Dog Training was developed by the late David Weston in the early 1970's
David was the pioneer of dog training using positive reinforcement in Australia and the first person to train and socialise dogs from 8 weeks of age. He was a man ahead of his time. David’s passion in life was for everyone to train their dogs in a kind, gentle, modern, effective way.
David’s Gentle Modern School of Dog Training is now run by his wife, Ruth, on the Bellarine peninsula and by Amanda in Melbourne.
Our instructors are all experienced dog trainers and members of The Kintala Dog Club Association Inc. (formerly Gentle Dog Trainers Association Inc.)
The school is a registered animal business under State Government legislation.
"Thanks for your comprehensive help and training for Hugo in a way that he found safe and fun. The barking in general has already reduced." Kate B.
Your dog is with you for the long haul. We'd be honoured to be with you along that journey.
Work with us and start a relationship. Share triumphs and challenges.
We can help you.
"I am loving training Annie and eternally grateful for your help in giving me confidence." Cath Beaumont
